Kitten/Cat  Contract

1.        I, __________________________, purchaser of the kitten/cat coming under this
agreement, do hereby agree to all terms in this contract and agree that all terms shall be
binding.

2.        This cat/kitten was sold as a PET________ SHOW_______BREEDER________.

3.        Breeder/seller guarantees the kitten/cat to be in good health at the time of sale and will
provide papers indicating such health from a licensed veterinary clinic. All vaccination
records will be provided to the purchaser. Breeder/seller agrees to replace the kitten/cat in
the event that any genetic disease is present within one year of sale. Purchaser shall present
to the breeder/seller a signed veterinary report indicating such disease.

4.        Purchaser agrees to keep this kitten/cat indoors at all times. Purchaser agrees to
provide annual health care including regular inoculations and veterinary services as required
to maintain a healthy kitten/cat.

5.        Under no circumstances will this kitten/cat be sold, leased, given away, or placed with
any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility during the lifetime of the kitten/cat. In the
event that the purchaser can no longer care for the kitten/cat, seller reserves the right to find
another suitable pet home or adopt the kitten/cat back from purchaser.

6.        I agree to have this ________________________kitten/cat born on ___________________
neutered/spayed at 8-10 months of age.

7.        When this kitten/cat has been neutered/spayed at the proper age stated above, and a
veterinary statement has been sent to the original owner/breeder certifying such operation,
the owner/breeder shall then send the registration papers of this kitten/cat to the present
owner.

8.        If this neutering/spaying has not been done at the age specified, the rights of
ownership shall be relinquished and the kitten/cat shall be returned to the original
owner/breeder without refund.

9.        In the event that the kitten/cat is returned to the breeder due to relinquished rights
resulting from failure to neuter/spay, said kitten/cat shall be tested for Feline Leukemia Virus
(FELV) and a veterinarian shall certify such test is NEGATIVE. Said certificate of negative
results shall be sent to the owner/breeder. A VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE showing a
clean bill of health and a negative fecal specimen shall also be provided to the owner/breeder
at the present owner’s expense.

10.        If the Feline Leukemia Virus (FELV) test is POSITIVE, the kitten/cat shall be euthanized
by humane means at the present owner’s expense.

11.        A signed statement from the veterinarian or clinic performing the neuter/spay will be
sent to the breeder as evidence of compliance with the terms of this contract.

12.        If the kitten/cat is not neutered/spayed by the age of ten (10) months, the kitten/cat will
be considered by the seller as a BREEDER and the FULL BREEDER price of $1200.00 (twelve
hundred dollars) will become immediately due and payable to the seller upon demand.

13.        Any attorney fees and court fees which should arise from breach of this contract will
be paid by the PURCHASER of the kitten/cat identified herein.

14.        The parties acknowledge that this contract was made in the state of Maryland and that
if any legal action is instituted the parties agree that the proper jurisdiction and venue lies in
Maryland, in the county of Frederick County.

15.        The undersigned are entering into this contract in good faith with clear understanding
of, and, full agreement to, this contract’s terms and conditions. Purchaser’s signature
indicates full agreement to all previous conditions.
